![]() As a member of the American Legion Family, the American Legion Riders support all of the many scholarhips offered by the Legion Family. Each of the scholarships offered have a specific focus and audience, striving to assist the community in areas important to our Family. Offered to a college bound boy and girl, and to a technical college bound student; who are a son, daughter, step-son, step-daughter, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister, grandson or granddaughter of a veteran, active duty service member, National Guard or Reserve member; who reside in one of the following Wisconsin Counties: Marathon, Menominee, Portage, Shawano, Waupaca, Waushara, and Wood. Awarded Spring of Senior year of High School. A favorite charity of the American Legion Riders is the The American Legion Legacy Scholarship. The Legacy Run motorcycle ride has raised more than $18 million for the scholarship program. Offered to the children of fallen post-9/11 servicemembers and children of VA-rated, post-9/11 veterans with a combined disability rating of 50 percent or higher.
